About me

My name is Diana Favier and I am a qualified psychodynamic counsellor and psychotherapist working with adults.

People come to therapy for many different reasons. Some feel anxious, low, stuck, or emotionally overwhelmed. Others are struggling with self-doubt, relationship difficulties, loss, identity questions, perfectionism, or the strain of living under constant pressure. Sometimes there is a clear reason for seeking help. At other times, there is simply a sense that something does not feel right.

My approach is psychodynamic, which means we pay attention not only to what is happening in the present, but also to the deeper patterns and emotional experiences that may be shaping how you feel, relate, and cope. This can include ways of thinking and feeling that developed earlier in life and now remain partly outside awareness.

Therapy offers a space to slow things down and begin to think more deeply about your inner world. Over time, this process can help make sense of painful or repetitive patterns, deepen self-understanding and create the possibility of living with more clarity, freedom and emotional connection.

I aim to offer a space that is thoughtful, steady and confidential, where difficult feelings can be explored at a manageable pace.

Alongside my private practice, I hold a senior leadership role in wellbeing services within Higher Education and have extensive experience supporting people in demanding academic and professional environments.

If you’re thinking about starting therapy, please feel free to get in touch to arrange a brief introductory call or an initial consultation.
